Ross Gruber has a wealth of experience in the software engineering and data engineering fields. Ross began their career in 2012 as an Analyst at Kobre & Kim LLP, where they worked closely with attorneys and other analysts to perform legal and financial research and analysis. In 2015, they joined Bottlenose (successor entity Blazent) as a Software Engineer, where they were responsible for creating and managing client applications to ingest data, cleaning, augmenting and storing that data via a data pipeline, and writing and maintaining software responsible for indexing said data and retrieving insights from it. In 2017, they joined Dia&Co as a Software Engineering Manager, where they managed a team of six developers and acted as the Product Manager for the team. In 2020, they moved to UpKeep as a Senior Software Engineer, leading the redesign and re-implementation of core APIs and data structures, as well as the implementation of an analytics stack utilizing Looker for data models and visualization with a Postgres backend using Stitch as a lightweight ETL. Most recently, in 2021, Ross became a Cofounder and CTO of Moneytree.
Ross Gruber has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) with honors in International Studies from The Johns Hopkins University, which they completed in 2012. Ross then pursued a post baccalaureate program in Computer Science at Columbia University, which they completed in 2014.
