Betsy Emmons

Manager, Customer Success at MongoDB

Betsy Emmons has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Betsy started their career as a Program Assistant at the Branchburg Community Education Council, where they assisted in organizing logistics for summer classes and programs. Betsy also served as a special aide to an autistic student.

After that, Betsy worked as a Research Assistant at Gettysburg College, where they analyzed USGS data using ArcGIS to measure the impact of hemlock wooly adelgid on breeding birds in the Northeastern and Appalachian regions of the US. Betsy also worked as a Research Assistant in the Environmental Studies Department, where they advised a laboratory and aided in the design of environmentally-focused lab exercises.

Betsy then joined the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) as an Extern for a brief period. Betsy contributed to the development and re-design of the non-profit global data commons at MapStory as a Consultant. Betsy managed the re-development of the MapStory "Warper" tool and initiated an urban transportation research project.

At The Clearing, Inc., Betsy worked as an Analyst, strategically supporting federal clients in workplace assessment, communications, analytics, and change management. Betsy also guided the development of a comprehensive spatial database for the Department of Defense.

As a Support Manager at Boundless Spatial, Inc., Betsy was responsible for managing support operations. Betsy then transitioned to Navatar Group as a Customer Success Manager, providing support to clients.

Currently, Betsy is working at MongoDB as a Manager, Customer Success, where they oversee customer success operations. Betsy has progressively taken on more senior roles throughout their career, demonstrating their expertise and leadership in the field.

Betsy Emmons attended Gettysburg College from 2010 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Environmental Science. Additionally, in February 2015, they obtained a certification in Geospatial Intelligence and The Geospatial Revolution from The Pennsylvania State University through Coursera Verified Certificates.
