Chuck Freedman

Chuck Freedman has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Chuck currently works at MongoDB as the Director of Developer Advocacy. Prior to this, they were the Director of Developer Advocacy at Akamai Technologies, where they rebuilt the Developer Relations program and managed teams of developer advocates and community leaders. Chuck also worked at Bose Corporation as the Software Products Lead for Bose Work and the Developer Relations Lead, where they focused on managing software platforms, collaborating with internal teams, and engaging with partners and customers. Before that, Chuck worked at Sonos, Inc. as the Principal Partner Product Manager & Developer Advocate, at Intel Corporation as the Chief Developer Advocate for Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Solutions, at Mashery as the Director of API Platform Strategy and Vertical Insights, at Litl as the Chief Platform Evangelist and Product Manager, at Ribbit/BT as the Director of Developer Platform, at Yahoo! as a Sr. Platform Engineer for Yahoo! Maps, and at eBay as a Platform Consultant. Throughout their career, Chuck has consistently demonstrated their ability to lead teams, build relationships with stakeholders, and drive results.

Chuck Freedman earned their Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Media Studies from Boston University, graduating in 1999. Prior to that, from 1995 to 1996, they attended Colby-Sawyer College, studying Communications. In addition to their formal education, Chuck has obtained several certifications, including MongoDB Atlas Search and MongoDB Data Modeling Intro from MongoDB, both in April 2023, as well as the Akamai Developer Champion certification from Akamai Technologies in February 2022.
