Franco Kakiko

Franco Kakiko has extensive work experience in internal audit, finance, consulting, and project management. Franco is currently serving as the Senior Director of Internal Audit at MongoDB since August 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Daiichi Sankyo, Inc. for a decade, holding the position of Director of Internal Audit. In this role, they demonstrated expertise in accounting, consulting, project management, and identifying control weaknesses. Franco also has experience in external audits, Sox compliance, tax accounting and consulting, and financial analysis and budget management. Franco began their career at PwC in 2003 as an Audit Manager and worked there until 2011.

Franco Kakiko has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM). Franco also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in International Business from the University of Scranton.

In addition to their degrees, Franco Kakiko has obtained certifications as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from both the NASBA in Pennsylvania and the National Board of Accountants and Auditors in Tanzania.
