Kurt McKenzie

Kurt McKenzie has a diverse work experience in both the public and private sectors. Kurt currently holds the position of Director of Physical Security at MongoDB since April 2022. Prior to this, Kurt had a long career with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). From 2001 to 2021, they served in various roles including Supervisory Special Agent and Special Agent. Kurt led and coordinated multiple complex investigations, managed a 26-member team, and worked on cases involving transnational organized crime, narcotics, financial and healthcare fraud, bank fraud, money laundering, and counter-terrorism. Kurt also gained international experience through deployments to countries such as Afghanistan, Albania, Canada, Egypt, and Germany among others. Prior to joining the FBI, they worked as a Forensic Biologist from 1997 to 2000.

Kurt McKenzie completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Microbiology and Bacteriology at Penn State University from 1988 to 1993.
