Sergi Mateo Bellido

Sergi Mateo Bellido has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Sergi currently holds the position of Lead Software Engineer at MongoDB since March 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at MongoDB from September 2020 to March 2022.

Their earliest work experience was at Barcelona Supercomputing Center, where they worked as a Research Support Engineer / Developer from August 2011 to August 2014. In this role, they were involved in the OmpSs project and worked on maintaining and adding new features to Mercurium. Sergi also collaborated with European projects such as MontBlanc and DEEP, porting and parallelizing HPC applications on different architectures using OpenMP/OmpSs.

Sergi Mateo Bellido earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, which they attended from 2006 to 2012. In addition to their degree, they obtained several certifications including Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) and Cambridge English: First (FCE) from Cambridge English Language Assessment in 2016 and 2015 respectively. Sergi also obtained a certification in Functional Programming Principles in Scala from Coursera in 2014.
