Furkanul Hoq has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Furkanul started their career as a Highway & Office Engineer at Monico Ltd. Bangladesh in 2008, where they were involved in the construction of a regional rural transport improvement road, bridges, and box culverts.
In 2010, they joined the Department of National Roads under the Ministry of Works, Transport & Public Utilities, Fiji as a Resident Engineer. During their tenure, they successfully administered, managed, and supervised the construction of a 19km road improvement project, including earthworks, pavement works, drainage works, and traffic marking.
In 2013, Hoq served as a Laboratory Manager at Fiji Roads Authority under the Prime Minister's Office. Furkanul oversaw the functions of lab technicians and office staff, prepared revenue forecasts, and revised test prices.
In 2015, Hoq joined KAL, Bangladesh as a Project Manager, responsible for the construction of an 8-lane road project.
Currently, Hoq is working as a Project Manager at Monico Limited. In this role, they coordinate with senior management and clients to strategize and plan future actions. Furkanul is also responsible for recruiting and supervising staff, engineers, and subcontractors.

Furkanul Hoq completed their education in the field of Civil Engineering. From 1994 to 1998, they attended Comilla Polytechnic Institute, Bangladesh, where they obtained a Diploma in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Analysis. Following this, they pursued further studies at The University of Asia Pacific from 1999 to 2003. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Civil Engineering, specializing in Transportation and Highway Engineering.
