Andrew Clark

Andrew Clark is the Co-Founder and CTO at Monitaur, a company they started in 2018. Prior to starting Monitaur, Andrew worked as an IT Auditor/Data Scientist at Astec Industries from August 2014 to December 2017. At Astec, Andrew was responsible for designing and building a continuous auditing infrastructure using SQL and Python. Andrew also developed custom analytic scripts for corruption/compliance and anomalous journal entry testing using SQL, Python, pandas, and scikit-learn. In addition, they built Internal Audit specific programs in Python, such as change management hashing tools, and time-saving spreadsheet aggregators.

Andrew has also researched the application of statistical and machine learning methods for use in the auditing domain. An example of which is the development and deployment of an unsupervised clustering algorithm across the full population of journal entries. Andrew has also conducted security audits across Astec Industries’ subsidiaries focusing on SQL Server, Windows Server, and Active Directory best practices.

In 2018, Andrew created a cybersecurity audit framework targeting company and industry specific risks based off of NIST's Cybersecurity framework and the Center for Internet Security's Critical Security Controls. Andrew is also responsible for all IT SOX audits and source code audits. Additionally, they conduct ITGC audits across the corporation.

Andrew Clark has a Doctor of Philosophy in Economics from the University of Reading, a Master's Degree in Data Science from Southern Methodist University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Accounting from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Andrew is also certified by the Analytics Certification Board as a Certified Analytics Professional and by the American Statistical Association as a Graduate Statistician. Finally, they have certification from Amazon Web Services as an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate.
