Shannon Behr

Shannon Behr has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. They began their career as a Tutor at The Whole Kid LLC, working with middle and high school students and improving their communication and adaptability skills.

During their time at Case Western Reserve University, Shannon served as an Undergraduate Student Researcher, conducting research on the neurobiology and biomechanics of Aplysia californica. They also worked as a Teaching Assistant for Introduction to Neurobiology, providing support and guidance to students.

After that, Shannon worked as a Software Developer at The Briar Project for a brief period. They then joined Progressive Insurance, first as a Data Engineer and later as a Data Engineer Senior. In these roles, they were responsible for configuring and deploying infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible, developing Python APIs and tools, and serving as the technical lead of a product team supporting Progressive's machine learning platform.

Next, Shannon joined Olive as an Infrastructure Engineer, where they built cloud native services using Python APIs, FastAPI, and Pydantic. They also designed a Terraform-based deployment framework for Auth0 resources.

Most recently, Shannon joined Monitaur as a Cloud Software Engineer. Their responsibilities in this role are not specified, but they started in August 2022.

Shannon Behr completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science and Cognitive Science at Case Western Reserve University from 2014 to 2018. Additionally, they obtained two certifications: the "Architecting with Google Cloud Platform Specialization" from Coursera in December 2018, and the "Python for Everybody Specialization" also from Coursera in November 2018.
