Joseph Bettios is a dedicated professional with experience in environmental education and conservation. Currently serving as a Seasonal Naturalist with the Monmouth County Park System, Joseph prepares and organizes educational hiking and kayaking experiences while assisting in the care and maintenance of reptiles. Additionally, Joseph works as a Banquet Waiter at Park Loft and serves as a Conservation Intern with New Jersey Fish and Wildlife, focusing on engaging children and families in independent fishing sessions and monitoring the behavior of Ospreys and Terrapins. Previous experience includes a role as a Waiter at Sterling Gardens, where responsibilities included maintaining cleanliness and overseeing buffet arrangements. Joseph is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Wildlife, Fish and Wildlands Science and Management at Oregon State University, having obtained an Associate's degree in Environmental Studies from Brookdale Community College. Joseph completed high school with a diploma in Environmental Science from Matawan Regional High School.

The Park System is overseen by the Board of Recreation Commissioners who are committed to improving the quality of life of the citizens of Monmouth County by providing open space, park and recreation areas, facilities, programs, and services of the highest quality and to furnishing these recreational and educational opportunities in the most effective, efficient, and economical manner possible.
