Hrisheekesh Patil

Hrisheekesh Patil has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Hrisheekesh started their career as a Transmission Member at Red Shift Racing India, where they learned about vehicle design and participated in BAJA SAE INDIA 2014. Hrisheekesh then took on the role of Technical Coordinator and later became the Vehicle Dynamics Engineer and Electronics Head. During their time at Red Shift Racing India, they led a team of 25 members, coordinated between different subsystems, and made significant contributions to the design and simulation of vehicle dynamics using software tools like ADAMS, Susprog, and Solidworks.

Hrisheekesh then worked as a Graduate Engineering Trainee at Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd., where they were part of the Process Engineering team and worked on cupboard designs and the development of an Autonomous Guided Vehicle prototype capable of carrying a load of 3 tonnes.

Hrisheekesh later joined Columbia University in the City of New York as a Graduate Research Assistant in the ROAR Laboratory and also worked as an Academic Tutor. At the university, they conducted research and provided tutoring services.

Currently, Hrisheekesh is employed at Monogram Orthopaedics. Hrisheekesh started as a Senior Robotics Intern and worked on various tasks such as surgical robot control, marker-based registration, and algorithm development. Hrisheekesh then progressed to the role of Senior Robotics Engineer and Senior Perception Engineer before becoming a Staff Perception Engineer.

Hrisheekesh Patil obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Mechanical Engineering from KJ Somaiya College of Engineering, Vidyavihar, where they studied from 2013 to 2017. Hrisheekesh later pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University from 2018 to 2019. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications on various topics such as Convolutional Neural Networks, Improving Deep Neural Networks, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, and Structuring Machine Learning Projects from Coursera. Hrisheekesh also completed a certification in Robotics: Computational Motion Planning from Coursera in 2016.
