JJ Moss

JJ Moss has a diverse range of work experience starting from 1998. JJ began their career as a Representative at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where they served in Southern Germany for two years, coordinating community service and leading a team of missionaries. In 2002, they interned at BMW in Germany, gaining firsthand experience in assembly line production and efficiently identifying and correcting errors on BMW automobiles. Following this, they completed an internship at the Raytheon-NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in 2004, where they worked as part of a satellite launch team, performing mission planning and testing software. In 2005, they joined Lockheed Martin as a Software Engineer, where they worked on the Flight Software team for TIROS and DMSP Satellites, implementing code changes for an upgraded attitude determination system retrofit. In 2007, they transitioned to Ausra, initially as a Senior Controls Engineer, and then as the Lead Engineer for the Julich Heliostat Control System in Germany. During this time, they managed the development of the control system for over 2,000 heliostats and successfully led teams in assembly and commissioning efforts. In 2013, they joined AREVA Solar as a Senior Controls Engineer, responsible for the design, development, and commissioning of control systems for solar thermal power plants. JJ later progressed to the role of Manager, Controls Engineering and then worked as the Director of Plant Engineering. Most recently, in 2017, they joined Monolith Materials as a Principal Systems Engineer.

JJ Moss has an educational background that includes a Master of Science degree in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University, which was obtained between 2005 and 2009. Prior to that, Moss attended Brigham Young University from 2000 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Before entering university, Moss completed their high school education at Hillcrest High School.
