Nigel White

Nigel White is a highly experienced photonics expert currently serving as a Principal Photonic Systems Engineer at Nicoya since June 2025. Prior to this role, Nigel held various positions at Applied Photophysics Ltd, including Senior Development Scientist from January 2013 to October 2025, and previously worked as a Senior Development Engineer at PerkinElmer from July 2009 to June 2012. Earlier career highlights include an Optical Engineer role at Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd and a tenure as an Optical Design Consultant while self-employed. Nigel also contributed significantly as an Optical Design Engineer at Applied Photophysics Ltd from 1996 to 2006 and worked as a Developer in Ultrafast Spectroscopy at the University of Manchester from 1992 to 1995. Nigel holds a BSc (Hons) in Scientific Instrumentation from the University of the West of England, awarded between 1987 and 1991.
