Jason Starr

Jason Starr is the current Managing Director of Real Estate and Opportunistic Credit at Monroe Capital. Prior to joining Monroe Capital, Jason Starr was a Director at Arena Investors, LP from September 2015 to June 2019. At Arena Investors, Jason was responsible for real estate investments and management.

From July 2005 to December 2014, Jason Starr was Vice President of Real Estate at Cerberus Capital Management. At Cerberus, Jason was responsible for the management and investment of the real estate portfolio, which included office, retail, hotel, and multifamily properties.

Prior to joining Cerberus Capital Management, Jason Starr worked as an Analyst in Real Estate and Lodging Investment Banking at Citigroup from July 2003 to July 2005.

Jason Starr completed their undergraduate education at the University of Michigan, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.

They work with Seth Friedman - MD, Compliance & Treasury, CLOs, Stewart Hanlon - MD & Co-Head, Technology Finance Group, and Ben Failinger - Assistant Vice President. Jason Starr reports to Theodore L. Koenig, Chairman & CEO.
