Katherine Stabler

Katherine Stabler currently serves as General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer at Velveteen Ventures since April 2024 and is a member of Chief since November 2023. Prior experience includes roles as Assistant General Counsel at Monroe Capital LLC (2022-2024), Chief Legal Officer at Kuvare Asset Management (2020-2021), and Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Nuveen (2018-2020). Katherine has also worked as an Associate at Kirkland & Ellis (2016-2018) and Ropes & Gray LLP (2015-2016), and completed a legal externship at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) in 2014. Earlier career experience includes positions as an Associate at Grosvenor Capital Management, L.P. (2010-2012) and Financial Analyst at Jones Lang LaSalle (2008-2010). Katherine earned a Juris Doctor from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, Finance, and Women's Studies from DePaul University.
