Dan Kanter

Dan Kanter has served as President since he and his partners acquired Monroe in 2003. He also serves as a portfolio manager for Monroe’s asset manager affiliate, Siena Capital Partners. Prior to joining Monroe, Dan spent seven years investing in privately-held businesses with Ravenswood Capital, a private equity firm he founded. Dan began his career as an attorney at Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw representing clients in securities transactions and mergers and acquisitions. Dan earned a J.D. from Northwestern University and a Masters in Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy in 1992 and a B.A. from University of California at Berkeley in 1987.
