Scott Rogers possesses extensive experience in journalism and data analysis. Since February 2016, Scott has served as a crime data analyst at the Monroe Police Department. Prior to this role, Scott worked as a Senior Writer at The News-Star from September 2011 to February 2016 and was the Lead Reporter at The Ouachita Citizen from August 2006 to September 2011. Earlier in Scott's career, reporting and editing roles were held at the American Press in Lake Charles, La. from May 1999 to April 2006 and as a News Reporter at The Ouachita Citizen from May 1997 to May 1999. Scott earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Northeast Louisiana University, attending from 1993 to 1997, and completed secondary education at River Oaks High School from 1980 to 1993.
