Andrew Shaw

Andrew Shaw is the Superintendent of Monroe Public Schools. Prior to leading the county's largest school district, he was employed at Kapnick Insurance Group advising educational clients. Mr. Shaw served as Superintendent of Mason Consolidated Schools from 2015 to 2020 and as Superintendent of Pittsford Area Schools from 2007 to 2014. His educational career also includes working as an elementary principal in Pittsford and an elementary teacher in Hudson.

Mr. Shaw served as the Regional President for the Michigan Association of Superintendents and Administrators and on the MASA Council. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Adrian College and master’s degree from Michigan State University.
