Cougar Oswald has a diverse work experience, beginning with their studies at the University of Oxford in 2010. In 2011, they interned as a Head Product Design Engineer for Bestway Inflatables & Material Corp in Shanghai, China. In 2012, they were a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Medtronic. In 2013, they were a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the d.School at Stanford University, a Speaker at TEDxOrangeCoast, and a Product Development Lead at Stanford Solar Decathlon (Product Design Team). In 2014, they were an Intern for the VP of iPad Worldwide Product Marketing at Apple. In 2017, they became the Cofounder and CEO of Montage. In 2019, they became a Freelance Product Design Consultant. In 2020, they became a User Experience Designer at MTailor.

Cougar Oswald attended Stanford University from 2008 to 2015, obtaining a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Product Design in 2012, a Master of Science (M.S.) in Mechanical Engineering - Design in 2014, and a Master of Science (M.S.) in Management Science Engineering in 2015. Additionally, in September 2012, Oswald obtained a Certificate Program in Product Management from the Center for Design Research at Stanford University.
