Computational Modeling Scientist at Montai Health

Tayte Campbell has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of computational microbiology and bioinformatics. Starting in 2012, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at Brigham Young University, where they gained experience in environmental biology, environmental microbiology, and air quality. In 2015, they served as a Research Intern at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Ecology.

From 2016 to 2019, Tayte Campbell worked as a Ph.D. Candidate at the Dantas Research Lab in Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine. During this time, they conducted research and contributed to various scientific projects.

In 2019, Tayte joined the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory as a Postdoctoral Research Associate, where they continued to pursue their research interests. They held this position until 2022.

In 2020, Tayte took on the role of Adjunct Professor at Washington State University Tri-Cities. They taught microbiology theory and conducted lab demonstrations for a microbiology laboratory class. They also developed computational modules to facilitate remote learning during the pandemic.

In early 2022, Tayte joined Pluton Biosciences as a Computational Microbiology Data Scientist. In this role, they verified in-house library prep modifications to reduce wet lab costs and developed genomic and metagenomic analysis pipelines in AWS for automated bioinformatics analyses.

Currently, Tayte works at Montai Health as a Computational Modeling Scientist, starting in August 2022. No end date for this role has been provided.

Tayte Campbell completed their education history as follows: from 2010 to 2013, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Environmental Science at Brigham Young University. Following that, from 2013 to 2015, they obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) in Environmental Science from the same institution. Lastly, from 2015 to 2019, Tayte Campbell attended Washington University in St. Louis and earned a Ph.D. degree in Biology and Biomedical Sciences.
