J. Robert Flesher, CPG, is a seasoned geologist with extensive experience in environmental project management and mining operations. Currently serving as a Senior Environmental Project Officer at the Montana Department of Environmental Quality since April 2019, J. Robert focuses on the planning and oversight of mine reclamation projects, particularly abandoned coal mine reclamation. Additional roles include consulting as a Geologic Consultant and serving as a Senior Geologist for Amec Foster Wheeler. Previous positions include Stream Permitting Coordinator with the Montana DNRC, VP of Geology and Mining at GrantHartford Corp., and various geology and engineering roles with Apollo Gold and Pegasus Gold/Apollo Gold. J. Robert holds a degree in Earth Science with a Geology Option from Montana State University-Bozeman, complemented by minors in Soil Science and Hydrology.
