Crcm Matthew Poston

Matthew Poston, CRCM, has extensive experience in risk assessment, compliance, and advisory roles in the banking industry. Matthew currently serves as the VP/Manager of Enterprise Risk at Montecito Bank & Trust, where they develop risk assessments, monitors compliance requirements, and advises on operational, legal, and reputational risk. Prior to this, Matthew worked at Bank of the West, where they held roles such as AVP/Senior Community Reinvestment Advisor and AVP/Compliance Officer. In these positions, they developed metrics to measure CRA performance, provided advisory support on risk identification and solutions, and assessed control effectiveness for consumer banking compliance. Earlier in their career, Matthew was a Senior Compliance Specialist, BSA/AML Specialist, and Risk Specialist at Montecito Bank & Trust, where they gained experience in compliance, risk management, and customer service.

Matthew Poston, CRCM, obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Literature from UC Santa Barbara, which they completed from 2006 to 2008. Matthew also holds the Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager certification from the American Bankers Association.
