Lara Markenson

Lara Markenson currently serves as the AVP of Strategic Communications & Government Relations at Montefiore Health System since April 2022, previously holding the position of Assistant Director of Media and Public Relations at the same organization. Prior to Montefiore, Lara worked as Senior Director at Marston Strategic Communications for over 15 years, and as Communications Director at McBurney YMCA. Additional experience includes serving as a PR Specialist at Zetlin Strategic Communications and as District Representative for Congresswoman Nita Lowey. Lara earned a Master of Public Administration from New York University and a BA in Government from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
