Gideon Yu is currently a trustee at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Previously, they were the chief financial officer for the San Francisco 49ers, Square, Facebook, and YouTube. At Facebook, they led the $375 million investment from Microsoft and Li Ka Shing, valuing the company at a then record $15 billion. Gideon also negotiated and led YouTube's $1.65 billion sale to Google. Prior to that, they were the senior vice president and treasurer at Yahoo.
Gideon Yu earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering & Engineering Management from Stanford University. Gideon then went on to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Harvard Business School.
