James Herrera

James Herrera is an experienced reporter at The Monterey Herald since December 1990, specializing in gathering information, conducting interviews, and producing written stories, along with video and photography. Herrera has held various roles within the newspaper, including Hub Liaison/Web Producer/Editor, Graphics Editor/Designer/Videographer, and Staff Artist/Ad Designer/Creative Services. Prior experience includes production coordination for pilot training materials at CAE-Link Training Services and Singer-Link Training Services, as well as a graphic artist and art director at Allen Corporation of America. James Herrera began the career as a typesetter and layout designer at Guide to Homes. Educational background includes a Liberal Arts degree from California State University, Fresno, and a high school diploma from Delano High School.
