Dewey Yeatts has a strong background in facilities and security management. Dewey began their career as the Chief Facilities Officer/AVP for Facilities Management at Murray State University in 1996 and held that position until 2008. From there, they served as the Vice President for Facilities and Engineering at The Citadel from 2008 to 2013. Currently, Dewey is the Vice President of Facilities and Security at Montgomery College, a position they have held since 2013.

Dewey Yeatts obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration, Management, and Operations from Wake Forest University, a two-year program completed between 1989 and 1991. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration at Virginia Tech, which took four years to complete from 1993 to 1997.
