Kristen Roe has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Kristen began their career in 1996 with the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs (OJP), where they served as a Grants Program Administrator until 2002. In 2012, they joined Family Services, Inc. as a Teen Parent Specialist and remained in this role until 2015. In the same year, they joined Montgomery College as the Deputy Title IX & Youth Protection Coordinator and held this position until 2022. Kristen then served as the Interim Director of ADA Compliance & Title IX & Youth Protection Coordinator before being promoted to the position of Director of ADA Compliance and Title IX Coordinator.
Kristen Roe holds a Master's degree in Counselor Education/School Counseling and Guidance Services from Johns Hopkins University School of Education, which they completed from 2005 to 2010. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of California, Davis, from 1992 to 1996. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Sexual Violence/Sexual Harassment Case Processing & Resolution: Civil Rights Investigator Level Three from TNG in July 2020 and as a 504 Coordinator from TNG in October 2018.
