Nicholas Augustine

Nicholas Augustine, M.A., serves as the Assistant Chief of Police for Montgomery County Government, overseeing significant divisions within the Montgomery County Department of Police since November 2002. With extensive experience in law enforcement, Augustine has held multiple leadership roles including District Commander and Director of the Investigative Services Bureau, among others. Responsibilities have included the management of specialized units, policy development adhering to 21st Century policing standards, and enhancing community outreach and engagement. In addition to practical law enforcement experience, Augustine has contributed to academia as an adjunct faculty member at Hagerstown Community College, instructing courses in the Administration of Justice Program. Educational credentials include master's degrees in Criminal Justice and Public Safety, alongside completion of the FBI National Academy.
