David Rhainds serves as the Chief Innovation Officer at the Institut Cardiologie de Montréal and CEO of Innovacor Inc., holding this position since July 2020. Rhainds is also the Deputy Director of the Research Center at the same institute. In addition to these roles, Rhainds has been a Lecturer in the Department of Biological Sciences at Université du Québec à Montréal since 2002, teaching a variety of courses including Human Physiology and Gene Regulation. Rhainds also lectures at the Université de Montréal's Faculty of Pharmacy, where involvement includes courses in normal body function and pharmacology. Prior positions include Research Associate in atherosclerosis research at the Institut de cardiologie de Montréal, Senior Scientist at Genizon BioSciences, and Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institut de recherches cliniques de Montréal. Rhainds obtained a Ph.D. in Biology from UQAM and holds a DESS in Business Administration from the École des sciences de la gestion (ESG UQAM).
