Melissa Haught

Melissa Haught has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Melissa began their career in 1998 as a Chemical Dependency Counselor Trainee at the North East Panhandle Substance Abuse Center. From 2003 to 2013, Melissa worked at the Lutheran Social Services-Canyon Hills Center, where they held various roles including Clinical Therapist, Chemical Dependency Counselor Level III, Associate Director, and Residential Counselor.

In 2006, Melissa also served as a Safe Crisis Management Trainer at the same organization. Melissa then moved to Black Hills State University in 2013, where they worked as a Career Liaison for the School of Business, Natural Sciences & Education, and later as a Retention & Recruitment Specialist for the College of Business & Natural Sciences. During their time at the university, Melissa focused on increasing student enrollment and collaborated with the Provost and College Deans to develop program goals and improve retention numbers.

Since 2017, Melissa has been working at Monument Health, where they have taken on progressively more senior roles. Melissa started as a Senior Marketing Specialist and then became the Manager of Marketing & Outreach. Currently, Melissa holds the position of Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications. Their responsibilities include overseeing strategic marketing initiatives and managing communication efforts for the organization. Overall, Melissa's work experience showcases their expertise in marketing, communications, counseling, and program development.

Melissa Haught holds a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Community Counseling from Chadron State College, which they obtained from 2001 to 2003. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Substance Abuse from Chadron State College, graduating from 1996 to 1999. Additionally, they received a certification as a Safe Crisis Management Trainer from JKM in October 2006.
