Ayden Bissessar

Ayden Bissessar has extensive work experience in engineering management and database administration.

Ayden currently holds the position of Engineering Manager at Monzo Bank starting in 2023.

Before joining Monzo Bank, they worked at Twitter as an Engineering Manager, SRE (Database and Data Platform) from July 2020 to February 2023, where they led teams responsible for ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability of Twitter's Database and Hadoop platforms.

From June 2019 to July 2020, Ayden served as the Director of Site and Data Reliability Engineering at Marin Software, where they led a global team of engineers to maintain thousands of servers with a focus on automation, scale, and performance. Prior to that, they were the Director of Database Operations at Marin Software from September 2017 to May 2019, leading a team supporting 500+ servers and playing an integral role in architectural changes and database automation.

Ayden's previous experience includes working as a Senior Database Administrator at Salesforce, where they led automation efforts and supported 600+ database servers. Ayden also worked as a Database Engineer at Marin Software, with a focus on data scalability, performance, and resiliency.

Before joining Marin Software, Ayden held positions at Specific Media as a Lead Database Administrator, at BBC as a Database Administrator, and at Air Products as an SQL Server Database Engineer.
