Shuang Xia

Shuang Xia has a diverse work history, with experience in various data science and technology roles. Shuang began their career as a Teaching Assistant at the University of St Andrews, where they assisted in lectures and lab classes and tutored in experiment design and statistics.

After their time at the university, Shuang joined KPMG as a Solution Architect, working on projects related to digital fraud and security for a leading UK bank. They also served as a Technology Consultant and Business Analyst within KPMG, where they worked on digital fraud programs and internet banking platform transformation projects.

Following their work at KPMG, Shuang joined MyDrive Solutions Limited as a Data Scientist and then moved on to Workplace by Facebook, where they continued their role as a Data Scientist. They then transitioned to Meta, where they worked as a Data Scientist before joining Oculus VR as a Staff Data Scientist.

Shuang's most recent role is as a Lead Data Scientist at Monzo Bank, where they utilize their expertise to lead data science initiatives. Overall, Shuang Xia's work experience demonstrates a strong background in data science, technology consulting, and fraud prevention.

Shuang Xia earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biology, General from Peking University from 2006 to 2010. Later, from 2010 to 2014, Shuang Xia pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Behavioral Neuroscience at the University of St Andrews.
