Spyros Kotoulas

Spyros Kotoulas is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and research. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Monzo Bank since January 2024, specializing in Financial Crime and Fraud Security, Spyros previously held the position of Senior Engineering Manager at Meta, where responsibilities included leading the Business Integrity site in London and overseeing integrity efforts for high-revenue advertising and e-commerce products. With a strong academic background, Spyros was an Adjunct Associate Professor at Trinity College Dublin and demonstrated leadership in research roles at IBM Research, focusing on Artificial Intelligence applications in healthcare and social care. Academic credentials include a PhD in Computer Science and multiple degrees from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and the University of Crete.
