Betsy McMichael has a long history of work experience in the healthcare industry. In 2010, they began their career as a Registered Nurse at the University of Michigan Health System. In 2014, they joined JumpstartMD, where they held the roles of Director of Clinical Operations, Regional Director of Operations, Clinician Manager, and Clinician (Family Nurse Practitioner). In 2020, they co-founded Mood Health, where they currently serve as COO. At Mood, they are focused on making high-quality mental health care affordable, convenient, and accessible to all.
Betsy McMichael obtained a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the University of Michigan, followed by a Bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from the same institution. Betsy then completed a Master's degree in Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Michigan. Betsy also holds certifications in Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse, Family Nurse Practitioner, and Registered Nurse from the State of California, ANCC, and State of Michigan, respectively.
