Juan Leyva Delgado

Juan Leyva Delgado has extensive work experience in the field of e-learning and educational technology. Juan has been working at Moodle Pty Ltd (Moodle HQ) since 2003, taking on various roles within the company. Currently, they serve as the Moodle Apps product manager, representing Moodle Pty in Spain. Juan has been in this role since July 2019. Prior to this, they were the manager of the Moodle Apps product and the team leader of the Moodle Mobile development team. From May 2014 to December 2014, they worked as a Moodle & Mobile analyst developer, focusing on the development of web services and the official mobile application. Juan also worked as a mobile developer for the official Moodle Mobile application from July 2012 to April 2014.

Before joining Moodle Pty Ltd, Juan worked at CV&A Consulting as a Moodle & EdTech Developer and Consultant from October 2007 to April 2014. During this time, they gained experience in the development and consultation of Moodle and educational technology projects.

Juan started their career at Consejería de Educación de la Comunidad de Madrid - Portal EducaMadridPr in May 2004, where they worked as a Programmer Analyst. In this role, they were responsible for LAMP programming and GNU/Linux system administration, specifically working on the EducaMadrid portal. Juan also served as an administrator and developer for the Moodle platform.

Prior to that, Juan worked at Ciberaula as a PHP Developer and Moodle administrator from December 2003 to May 2004. In this position, they developed portals and management intranets in PHP, as well as e-marketing management tools in Java J2SE. Additionally, they administered the e-learning platform Moodle and developed applications for its management using PHP.

Overall, Juan Leyva Delgado has a strong background in Moodle development and management, as well as experience in e-learning consulting and programming.

Juan Leyva Delgado obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from EAE Business School between 2014 and 2016. Prior to that, they attended the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid from 1999 to 2003, earning a degree in Informática as an Ingeniero en Informática de Sistemas. In addition to their formal education, Juan Leyva Delgado obtained a certification in Software Product Management from the University of Alberta through Coursera in September 2021.
