Douglas J. Murphy

Doug Murphy serves as the Dean of Operations and Strategic Educational Initiatives at Moody Bible Institute since July 2017, where responsibilities include leading educational operations, overseeing various administrative units, and teaching courses in critical thinking. In previous roles at Moody, Doug has held positions such as Associate Dean of Teaching, Learning and Assessment and Director of Programs and Instruction for Moody Distance Learning, focusing on instructional quality and online education. Concurrently, Doug has been an Adjunct Faculty Member at DePaul University since September 1991, teaching courses on educational planning, critical thinking, and technology. Doug's academic credentials include a Master of Arts in Academic Strategic Planning from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from the University of Notre Dame, along with a certificate in Values-Centered Leadership from The Hay Project for Vincentian Leadership.
