Michael Bugay

Michael Bugay is an experienced economist currently working at Moody's Corporation since April 2024. Prior to this role, Michael served as Economist II at S&P Global from February 2021 to March 2024, where responsibilities included managing economic forecasts for several U.S. states and enhancing forecasting processes through programming. Michael's earlier experience includes a Labor Markets Research Internship at the Council of Economic Advisers, where contributions were made to the 2020 Economic Report of the President, and a General Counsel Internship at the U.S. Department of Commerce, focusing on economic impacts of tariffs. Additional internships include work with the Executive Office of the President and the Miami-Dade Beacon Council. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Applied Economics from The Johns Hopkins University, a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Florida International University, and an Associate of Arts from Broward College.
