Rod Dixon has over 30 years of experience in the mining industry. Rod has held various leadership positions at Thiess, including General Manager Mining - Africa and Head of Strategic Procurement - Thiess Global. Rod also served as the General Manager of Operations Aus/Pac and General Manager of Assets for Thiess Global Mining. Additionally, Rod has experience as a Plant Manager and Plant Operations Manager at Thiess. Prior to their time at Thiess, Rod worked as the Group Maintenance Manager at Felix Resources. In 2023, Rod worked at Moolmans as the Managing Director before taking a career break to focus on personal development.

Rod Dixon completed their education as follows:

- From 2017 to 2020, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General at the University of Cumbria.

- In 2017 and 2018, they obtained a Directorship certification from the Institute of Directors SA.

- In 2011, they earned a Certificate IV in Business from the University of Queensland Business School.

- In 2010, they completed a course in Strategic Negotiations at ENS International.

- Between 2006 and 2007, they received a Diploma in Business Management (Front Line) from the Vocation Institute of Australia.

- In 1995 and 1996, they acquired an Engineering Certificate in Hydraulics and Fluid Power Technology/Technician from TAFE NSW.

- Lastly, from 1987 to 1996, they obtained Trade Certificates in Mechanical, Heavy Diesel, and Welding from TAFE NSW.
