Laurie Williamson

Laurie Williamson is a skilled professional with a diverse background in environmental science, horticulture, and construction. Currently serving as the Parks Contracts and Project Officer at Moonee Valley City Council since August 2023, Laurie has held various roles including Environmental/Horticultural Scientist at Wallace and Open Space Maintenance Officer at Nillumbik Shire Council. With experience as an Apprentice Carpenter at North Star Building and as a Machine Workshop Technician and Instructor at the University of Melbourne, Laurie has cultivated extensive practical knowledge. Education includes a Master’s degree in Urban Horticulture from the University of Melbourne, a Diploma of Language in Italian, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Additionally, Laurie has participated in leadership and instructional roles, including founding the Woodworkers of Melbourne University.
