Marcel Otón Pàmies

Marcel Otón Pàmies is a seasoned software engineer with over a decade of experience in backend development and infrastructure scaling. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at MoonPay since February 2022, Marcel previously contributed as a Senior Software Engineer at FORM3, focusing on the European market and infrastructure demands. Prior to that, Marcel played a significant role at Typeform.com, leading backend development efforts for major features and transitioning architecture from a PHP monolith to microservices. Marcel's earlier experience includes backend development at Softonic and internships at prominent institutions including the Barcelona Supercomputing Center and ITnow!. Marcel is proficient in technologies such as Go, Postgres, AWS, Terraform, PHP, and JavaScript, and holds a degree from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
