Anup Iyer

Anup Iyer has extensive experience in intellectual property law, currently serving as Senior Counsel at Moore & Van Allen PLLC since January 2024, focusing on patent preparation and prosecution in areas such as AI and fintech. Prior to this role, Anup was an Intellectual Property Attorney and a Patent Agent at Moore & Van Allen from March 2013 to January 2024, where responsibilities included securing patent and trademark rights and preparing applications in various engineering domains. Anup also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Virginia, investigating fiber nonlinearities and applying machine learning techniques, and began a career as a Research Analyst at Beroe Inc., providing market intelligence to Fortune 500 clients. Anup holds a Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Master's in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Virginia, and a Bachelor's in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Anna University Chennai.
