Dr. Suzy Matthijssen

Dr. Suzy Matthijssen is a highly experienced clinical psychologist and researcher, currently serving as a member of the Supervisory Board at U-center and as the Founder and Director of Enhancing Trauma Treatment Institute B.V. Since April 2012, Matthijssen has held a leadership role at Altrecht Academisch Angstcentrum, focusing on severe anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive symptoms, and PTSD. Additional roles include chairing the Research Working Group for the ‘Future of EMDR’ project, participating in various advisory and research committees, and leading a psychological consulting bureau that conducts independent psychological investigations. Matthijssen's academic credentials include multiple degrees in clinical psychology, health psychology, and social geography, and a PhD from Utrecht University.
