Cherise M. Burton, Ph.D., PMP has a diverse work experience that spans a variety of roles and industries. Currently, they work at Morehouse College as the Director of the Dual Degree Engineering Program and as an Adjunct Professor. Prior to their current position, they worked at Delta Air Lines as a Manager of TechOps Resource Planning and as a Senior Project Manager. Cherise M. Burton, Ph.D., PMP completed their education in a chronological manner. Cherise M. obtained a Diploma in High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates from St. Croix Educational Complex in 2009. Cherise M. then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics from the University of the Virgin Islands from 2009 to 2013. In 2013, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Engineering Management/Industrial Engineering from the University of South Florida, which they completed in 2015. Continuing their academic journey, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Systems & Engineering Management with a specialization in Industrial Engineering from Texas Tech University from 2016 to 2019. In addition to their educational accomplishments, Cherise also holds several certifications, including Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute, Systems Engineering, MODAPTS from MODAPTS, and Technology Management.
