Michael Rambert is the SVP, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary at Morehouse School of Medicine. Michael has previously served as Senior Associate General Counsel at Rutgers University from 2013 to 2018. In this role, they provided legal counsel to Rutgers on a broad range of higher education and academic medical center issues, including being the primary legal counsel to Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care, Board attorney for the Rutgers University Foundation and Board attorney for the Rutgers-Camden Board of Directors. Michael also negotiated and structured over $500 million in real estate capital projects and real estate transactions while at Rutgers.

Rambert received their JD from Harvard Law School and their BA in Theirtory from Columbia University. Michael is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

Michael Rambert attended Archbishop John Carroll High School and went on to study at Middlebury College, where they obtained their Bachelor of Arts in Geography. Michael then pursued a Master of City Planning with a focus in real estate finance/public-private development in conjunction with the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Afterward, they attended The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law to obtain their Juris Doctor with concentrations in corporate law, tax law, and real estate law. In addition, they have also obtained certificates from the Risk Management Association Commercial Lending school in commercial credit analysis, the Venture Capital Institute in private equity investments, and the Risk Management Association in advanced commercial credit for lenders. Finally, they are certified by the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Supreme Court of Georgia, the New Jersey Courts, and the Supreme Court of Ohio.

Their manager is Valerie Montgomery Rice, President & CEO. They work with Creshema Murray - Chief Administrative Officer & Chief of Staff, Joseph A. Tyndall - EVP, Health Affairs & Dean, School of Medicine, and Sandra Harris-Hooker - VP & Executive Vice Dean, Academic Administration & Research.
