Neil Shannon

Neil Shannon is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the rail industry. Currently serving as Head of Engineering for Morgan Sindall Infrastructure since June 2014, Neil oversees various aspects including Engineering, Design Management, Quality Assurance, and Digital Engineering for the company's Rail business. Previous roles at Carillion, spanning from May 2005 to June 2014, included Project Manager and Section Manager, where Neil managed significant projects such as the construction of new Crossrail lines and a Network Rail station. Neil's career began at Mowlem Plc as a Site Engineer and includes positions with WSP in the UK and numerous site agent roles, demonstrating a depth of knowledge in civil engineering and project management. Neil holds a degree in Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering from Trinity College Dublin.
