Amy Deer

Amy Deer has extensive work experience in audit and compliance roles. Amy is currently working as the Vice President of Internal Audit at Morgan White Group since June 2023. From February 2022 to June 2023, they served as an IT Internal Auditor at EastGroup Properties Inc. Prior to that, they held the same position at Morgan White Group from May 2017 to March 2022. Amy also worked as a Financial Auditor at C Spire from April 2014 to April 2017 and as a Senior Manager of Internal Audit at Saks Fifth Avenue from January 2007 to April 2014. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Regulatory Insurance Examiner at Mississippi Insurance Department from June 2004 to December 2006 and as a Senior Internal Auditor at Saks Fifth Avenue from March 1999 to June 2004. Amy started their career as a Staff Accountant at HORNE LLP from August 1998 to March 1999. Amy also worked as a Compliance Assistant and Human Resources Assistant at Union Planters Bank from May 1995 to August 1998.

Amy Deer obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from Mississippi College in 2003. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Delta State University between 1994 and 1998. In 2011, they also achieved the Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA) certification from ISACA.
