Amani Gillette

Amani Gillette, PhD, is a seasoned professional in the field of bioengineering and biomedical engineering, serving as the Founder and CEO of SeLight, LLC since February 2022. Currently, Amani holds the position of Postdoctoral Researcher at the Morgridge Institute for Research, a role commenced in July 2021. Previous experience includes a Graduate Researcher position at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from July 2016 to July 2021, and various roles at Michigan Technological University, including Teaching Assistant and Undergraduate Research Assistant from September 2012 to May 2016. Amani's practical experience includes two summer internships at Promega Corporation in 2014 and 2015 and a Student Research Assistant position at UW-Madison College of Letters & Science from February 2011 to August 2012. Amani earned a PhD and a Master of Science in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, along with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Michigan Technological University.
