Vani Kanoria

Vani Kanoria is a skilled data scientist with experience in developing machine learning models, particularly in healthcare and business intelligence domains. Currently serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Pennsylvania Health System, Vani focuses on predicting post-surgical hernia risk through innovative ML models that utilize structured EHR data and unstructured clinical notes. Vani's previous role at Sisense involved enhancing chatbot accuracy and user experience through the creation of a comprehensive ELT and classification pipeline. Vani also has a background as a Machine Learning Engineer, where a churn prediction model was developed to significantly reduce churn risk. Additional experience includes internships and teaching roles, such as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and participation in a competitive entrepreneurial fellowship. Vani holds a Master of Science in Engineering in Data Science from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Mathematics and Economics from Colgate University.
