Alex McKinnon has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in software engineering, governance, and IT support.

Alex is currently working as a Software Engineer at Morning Consult since December 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Governance Engineer at Loews Corporation from June 2019 to October 2022. At Loews Corporation, they were responsible for building REST API integrations and leading a ServiceNow re-implementation project.

Before joining Loews Corporation, Alex worked as an IT Specialist at Sydney Children's Hospitals Network from June 2018 to December 2018. Alex also served as an IT Analyst at Estia Health from May 2017 to April 2018.

In addition, Alex has experience backpacking in Mexico, Central, and South America from February 2015 to May 2016.

Alex'searlier roles include Change Management Analyst at Omgeo from July 2013 to March 2015, where they managed change management responsibilities for the company's financial services software. Alex also worked as a Service Transition Analyst and briefly as a Service Desk representative at Bose Corporation from December 2011 to June 2013. In these roles, they represented Service Delivery, highlighted project gaps, and ensured smooth knowledge transfer and handoff between project teams and the Service Desk.

Alex McKinnon completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Anthropology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, which spanned from 2007 to 2011. In addition to their degree, they obtained several certifications, including ITIL Service Offerings and Agreements (ITIL-SOA) in December 2019, ITIL Release Control and Validation (ITIL-RCV) in June 2014, ITIL Operational Support and Analysis (ITIL-OSA) in March 2013, and ITIL Foundation Level in February 2012. Most recently, in November 2020, Alex obtained the Professional Scrum Master I certification from Scrum.org.
