Leslie Norton

Leslie Norton is an accomplished journalist with extensive experience in sustainability, mutual funds, and Asian markets. Currently serving as Editorial Director of Sustainability at Morningstar since September 2021, Leslie previously worked at Barron's Magazine from 1993 to September 2021, holding various roles including Senior Writer/Senior Editor, Asia Editor/Foreign Stocks Writer, and Mutual Funds Editor. Leslie's notable interviews feature respected figures such as Nobel laureates Robert Shiller and Joseph Stiglitz, and contributions to sustainable investing narratives. Additionally, Leslie taught a graduate seminar on reporting the Asian economy at Columbia University’s School of International & Public Affairs from 2004 to 2006. Leslie holds a Master’s degree in Journalism from Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Yale University, along with a certificate in Chinese Art from Sotheby's/University of London School of Oriental & African Studies.
